On behalf of British Future, Number Cruncher has polled public attitudes to Britain’s relationship with the European Union, a decade on from the Brexit referendum.
The findings show majority support for closer cooperation: 62 per cent want a closer relationship with the EU on trade and 57 per cent want a closer relationship on defence. When asked how they would vote in a referendum on EU membership, 46 per cent told us they would support “Join” versus 29 per cent for “Stay out”. Please note that these figures are not weighted for likelihood to vote.
There is also majority support (57 per cent) for a reciprocal youth mobility scheme, which would allow young people aged 18-30 from Britain and EU countries to live, study and work in each other’s countries for up to three-years.
